Unity Church of Edmonton is part of the New Thought movement that began approximately 150 years ago. Unity was founded by Charles and Myrtle Fillmore in Kansas City Missouri in 1889 and has grown to approximately 1000 churches in over 40 countries in the world. We are part of the International Association of Unity Churches and the Association of Unity Churches Canada as well as the Unity School at Unity Village.

Our teachings are based on the teachings of Jesus Christ rather than about Jesus Christ. We use the Bible as it describes so elegantly the evolution of consciousness, while also drawing on current spiritual teachings from many sources. Our search is for the truth and our spiritual practices of prayer, meditation and mindfulness as well as spiritual education are at the center of our philosophy.
